    Care and use

    • For dry crumbs on a board that has not been contaminated, use a dry brush or cloth. Use a barely damp cloth for light wiping when needed.
    • Dry right after cleaning and let air reach both faces. Never soak the wood or put it in the dishwasher.
    • Oil clean, completely dry wood when it looks dry or dull. Let the oil absorb overnight and wipe off the excess. Add cream afterwards if you want a wax finish.
    When washing is necessary

    Food residue, grease, raw flour or dough needs effective cleaning. After contamination, clean and sanitize with a product suitable for wooden food-contact surfaces, following its directions. Wash both faces and all edges briefly with mild dish soap and lukewarm water, then rinse; never soak or saturate the wood. Towel-dry every side right away and let both faces air-dry, away from direct heat. Store only when completely dry. Keep a separate board for raw meat, poultry, fish and seafood. Lemon, salt, oil and cream do not sanitize wood; oil and cream do not waterproof it.

    When washing is needed

    Wash every side briefly

    Use lukewarm water, mild dish soap and a soft brush. Wash both faces and all edges, then rinse without leaving the board in water.

    Never soak the board or put it in the dishwasher.
