How to useHow to use
Start with clean, completely dry wood. If you also use oil, let it absorb and wipe off the excess before adding cream.
-

Step 1
Pick up a small amount
Take a little cream on a clean cloth. Add more only if you need it to cover the surface thinly.
-

Step 2
Spread a thin layer
Rub the cream gently into the clean, completely dry wood. Spread it evenly without leaving thick patches.
-
Step 3
Let the cream absorb
Let the cream soak in before wiping off the excess.
-

Step 4
Buff with a clean cloth
Remove the excess with another clean cloth before food contact. The board should not feel sticky or leave residue.
Oil, cream, or both?
Use oil when the wood looks dry. Add cream if you want a beeswax finish.
Care for the wood with oil
Oil a new butcher block before first use. Reapply when the clean, completely dry wood looks dry or dull.

Add a thin wax finish to clean, completely dry wood. Cream does not replace the first oiling of a new butcher block.

Oil first, leave it overnight and wipe off the excess. Then add cream if you want a wax finish.

Care questions
Can oil or cream clean my board?
No. Oil and cream are wood-care products. They do not replace cleaning or sanitizing, and they do not make wood waterproof. Apply them only to clean, completely dry wood.
Should I wash the board first?
Only if it needs cleaning. Wash it by hand, then let it dry completely before applying oil or cream. A board that is already clean and dry does not need washing just for this treatment.
When should I apply it again?
Look at the board when it is clean and completely dry. Apply oil when the surface looks dry or dull, then cream if you want a wax finish.
When can I use the board again?
Let the oil or cream absorb and wipe off the excess with a clean cloth. Before food touches the board, it should feel dry and leave no sticky residue.
