Refund policy

Refunds

To be eligible for a refund, your item must have been purchased on maisonrodin.com, must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original plastic film wrap, unopened and in pristine condition.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your item. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a certain amount of days.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive an online store credit for the value of your return. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will process a refund to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Our refund policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery. If 30 days have gone by since the item(s) have been delivered to your address, unfortunately, we will not be able to process your refund request.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after a return was approved.

Please note that specifically discounted final sale items are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances.

To return your product, a mailing address will be provided to you once your submission for return is approved. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Replacements

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

Natural wood products, such as our butcher blocks, are made without chemical treatments like sealants or varnishes. Instead, we use food-grade white mineral oil to protect the wood while keeping it safe for food preparation. This natural approach enhances the beauty and functionality of the wood but also introduces certain trade-offs. Without chemical barriers, these products are more sensitive to moisture, temperature changes, and improper handling, which can lead to warping, cracking, or surface roughness over time. These issues are typically not considered manufacturing defects and may not qualify for replacement.

Items that have been unpacked from their protective transparent plastic film are considered used and are only eligible for replacements, not refunds. Replacements are final and are not eligible for refunds.

Our extended replacement warranty lasts 365 days (1 year) from the date of purchase. If 365 days have passed since the item(s) was purchased, we are unable to process replacement requests.

Replacements are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the defect or damage, as determined by the details and photos you provide. While we cannot guarantee a replacement for damages caused by improper use or care, in certain situations, we may offer a one-time complimentary replacement as an exceptional gesture. This courtesy applies to a single complimentary lifetime replacement per purchased item.

Complimentary items (free replacements, promotional items, gifts) and specifically discounted final sale items are provided "as is" and are not covered under the limited warranty or replacement policy.

Your order number (if purchased on maisonrodin.com, e.g., RDN 0001) or a copy of your invoice/receipt (if purchased elsewhere).
A description of the issue you are facing.
Photos clearly highlighting the damage to the item.

A handling and shipping flat fee per item will apply, as follows:

For items weighing less than 4 kg, a flat fee of $20 + tax.
For items weighing 4 kg or more, a flat fee of $35 + tax.
